Pros and Cons of ID cards:

Id cards are being used a lot in modern society. They bring a whole new level of security to the table and have many advantages and disadvantages.



Firstly, advantages. Higher levels of security means that data / items are much safer because only individuals with the correct card can access the room / safe etc. Security gaurds can check the ID card to make sure the person if who they say they are and there is also electronic tages on most so there is a human check then a computer check. Overall ID cards bring a higher level of security all round but there are also some disadvantages.
ID cards are a hastle to keep getting out and using, if you work in a business that requires you to show your ID card pretty much whereever you go it can become an annoyance. Also if the card is lost it can mean no access to areas you need to go until you get a new one / find it. Cards can be forged if they are only for use with humans (If a security gaurds checks it not a machine for example)
